About Me

Purdue Graduate. Developer. Microsoft Employee.
Me :)

Current

I currently live in Seattle and work at Microsoft as a developer on Windows Phone. I started work at Microsoft in August of 2012, working as a SDE (Software Design Engineer) on the Internet Explorer team in Windows Phone. I am also the author of Baconit for Windows Phone, which I have been developing since December of 2011.

History

I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana for the majority of my childhood until we moved to Kendallville, Indiana where I graduated from East Noble High School in the spring of 2008. From there I moved down to West Lafayette, Indiana to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Purdue University. Through the school's CS department I've been able to expand my knowledge of different languages and platforms. This lead me first to an internship with Raytheon in the summer of 2009 and then on to an internship at Microsoft the following year. I graduated from Purdue in spring of 2012, with a BS in Computer Science. For a complete overview of my professional life, please see my portfolio.

Outside of the professional world I pursue my own interests in theatre. I started mixing sound in fifth grade at the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre and by the time I graduated from East Noble High School I was the technical director of our theatre and co-technical director of the Miss Indiana Pagent; culminating in my pursuit of a Lighting Design Minor at Purdue. I've done over thirty productions in my past, some of my favorites being Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Les Misérables, and Seussical.

Interests

Of course I also enjoy the stereotypical interests of someone in my field: trolling around on the Internet, playing video games, going out with friends, and developing/working on my various personal projects. I am able to keep myself quite busy. :)
